Andrew Card this AM (WHOA!)
Edited on Wed Jan-21-04 07:15 AM by SaddenedDem
Is anyone watching this?

I flipped channels when he came on from the CBS affiliate to the NBC affiliate.....but here's the strange part....

He was on 2 different morning shows, being questioned by 2 different hosts, and he was ANSWERING THE SAME QUESTION ON BOTH!!!!!!

How is it Matt Lauer and the CBS guy were asking the EXACT same question at the EXACT same time????????????

1. Yep
I noticed this sort of synchronized news behavior back in the 80's. I was switching channels between the 3 major networks and saw they were all talking about the same topic at the same time with almost the exact same story angle. The first time I saw it I thought it was a fluke but after repeatedly seeing it...

2. Freaky way to start the day
But this was more than a story "angle." This was when I flipped channels, I didn't miss a word in Card's answer to the question. This was like watching the daily Scott McClellan lie fest on 2 channels, but Card was NOT doing a press conference. Card was supposedly doing a personal interview with Matt Lauer (and the CBS guy).

3. Happens all the time.
The interviewee is filmed by the different affiliates at which time he is asked the question. Then the individual interviewers are filmed asking the identical question, giving the impression they are in "real time", with the individual in their respective studios.

6. Cherished illusions

"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre."
~ Frank Zappa, 1977
