Whoa/Text of Michael Ruppert's Speech

In describing the contents of the book he has spent two and a half
years researching and writing Ruppert said:

"In my new book I will be making several key points:

1. I will name Richard Cheney as the prime suspect in the mass
murders of 9/11 and will establish that, not only was he a planner in
the attacks, but also that on the day of the attacks he was running a
completely separate Command, Control and Communications system which was superceding any orders being issued by the NMCC Military Command Center], or the White House Situation Room.

2. I will establish conclusively that in May of 2001, by
presidential order, Richard Cheney was put in direct command and
control of all wargame and field exercise training and scheduling
through several agencies, especially FEMA. This also extended to all
of the conflicting and overlapping NORAD drills on that day.

3. I will also demonstrate that the TRIPOD II exercise being set up
on Sept. 10th in Manhattan was directly connected to Cheney's role.

4. I will also prove conclusively that a number of public officials,
at the national and New York City levels, including then Mayor
Rudolph Giuliani, were aware that Flight 175 was en route to lower
Manhattan for 20 minutes and did nothing to order the evacuation of
or warn the occupants of the South Tower. One military officer was
forced to leave his post in the middle of the attacks and place a
private call to his brother -- who worked at the WTC -- warning him
to get out. That was because no other part of the system was taking
action.

5. I will also show that the Israeli and British governments acted
as partners with the highest levels of the American government to
help in the preparation and, very possibly, the actual execution of
the attacks."

book than of facing what is in it."

1. Outrageous claims require outrageous proof.

I wouldn't put it past the likes of Cheney to do something like this, but there has to be hard proof. Ruppert is definitely :tinfoilhat:. That doesn't mean he's wrong. It just means he'd better have some serious proof.

2. I think the proof will be pretty startling

Remember Ruppert was key in the Iran Contra hearings.... excellent video on the issue, including JK testifying at the congressional hearings.

5. I'm open-minded enough to listen to what he has to say.

I'm just repeating my mantra. I repeat it often to counteract my fundy upbringing:

7. I have read a bit of his research

and while I admit, it often borders on the incredible... I also realize that we live in incredible times... and that the lust for power can cause those among us to do the outrageous.

I suggest you read some of the stuff he has worked on.. it is truly eye opening... fundie upbringing or not. This is a few of the "achievements" of Michael and his people.

Sept. 1998 – FTW publishes a detailed account of how Osama bin Laden had been created, protected, trained and funded by the CIA and that bin Laden had been a guest of British intelligence in London as recently as 1996.

Oct. 1998 – FTW publishes detailed excerpts from Volume II of a CIA Inspector general's report, including declassified records proving the CIA 's direct role in the drug trade.

Dec. 1998 – FTW publishes a detailed investigation, including copies of US government documents, describing how twenty-eight C 130 aircraft had been funneled through the Forest Service into the hands of private contractors. Instead of fighting forest fires, many of the aircraft wound up smuggling large quantities of cocaine and heroin. Court records established a CIA link and confirmed the details of this covert operation.

Not quite the place one would expect to find as a guest speaker a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist with no credibility (as Ruppert's oponents and detractors would no doubt describe him).

highly recommend it. So many names keep recurring with improbable

9. Ruppert is awesome

thanks for finding this. I find Ruppert perhaps the most credible of 9-11 analysts. This speech is the best thing i've seen yet from him, and yet it's just a teaser for his book.

I am in awe of his ability to focus on the key points and not let the side issues cloud his vision.

Everyone should read this speech! Wonder if it will be run on NPR? Our local affiliate runs the Commonwealth Club on Sunday afternoons...wouldn't that be nice?

...Hitler. Closing in on 5000 American active duty dead and seriously wounded in Iraq. Tens of thousands of Iraqis killed. He's just getting started. He has no respect for law, human rights, the Constitution, or popular sovereignty.
