My Letter to Senator Burr
Edited on Mon Jul-18-11 08:34 AM by Ragrum
You should resign. There I said it, believe it and request it.

By signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge you have abdicated your pledge to protect Our Constitution. I still can’t believe how, as a smart man, you have willfully and purposefully boxed yourself into such an untenable position. The want if’s astound me: what if we were attacked and went into a war…you could not allow revenue increase to fund it…! Oh wait you have already done that! Where is the funding for the last ten years of war cost? You funded it by “kicking the can’ of war cost down the road onto the backs of your children’s children. So you realize every borrowed dollar is a future funding requirement. Funding = TAX. In your world there will be no latitude for future funding. Mr Burr, when you buy something for your home, you fund it out of discrete savings or you borrowed … with collateral. Senator Burr when you bought the mountain of debt we have …you borrowed to fund it and the only collateral you gave was the 14th Amendment that guarantees payment. Now you and your party have the audacity to play politics with that guarantee.

Resign = the ONLY honorable choice.
