Demjanjuk Released From German Prison
(AP) – 5 hours ago

MUNICH (AP) — John Demjanjuk left prison in an unmarked vehicle on Friday for a nursing home after a judge ordered him released pending an appeal of his conviction for serving as a guard at a Nazi death camp.

Michael Stumf, director of the Stadelheim prison, said authorities had difficulty finding a home that would take in the 91-year-old on such short notice. Stumf refused to give any details about where Demjanjuk was headed, other than to say it was in the greater Munich area.

"He asked us to respect his privacy," Stumf said.

Demjanjuk has been held in Stadelheim since he was deported to Germany two years ago to stand trial on charges of 28,060 counts of accessory to murder for serving as a guard at the Nazi's Sobibor death camp. He was found guilty on Thursday and sentenced to five years in prison.

He is 97 year old, older than most of his victims, who died between 1940-1943 in Sorbinor Death Camp.. (it was not a KZ camp, but a pure death camp, with minimal facilities to carter for the prisoners, the whole camp wa dedicated to kill jews, and others that the nazi-regime wanted killed)

He desvere to die in prison, not at a nurcing home.. But I guess this is the last best we can manage to get when everything goes... At least he is jugded to be a guard in a death camp... And he wil posible die with the ghost of 28060 persons down his neck..

4. Hounding a 97 year old person for crimes presumed
to have been committed over 60 years ago and not since falls into much the same category of abuse of power as the one he is being hounded about.

I understand Christianity has a cure for that level of obsessive hatred.

Presumed or not.. The evidences was enough... And even tho its a long time the crimes was been doing, its never a time to just stop fighting down the crimes who happened in camps like Sorbinor and other camps in the east of Poland. Where ten of thousands of totaly inocent men woman and children was murdered, becouse of their belife. It was a horrible hell hole of a camp, where peopole was murdered by the thousands every day..

And the old man have never given ANY hint off Remorse, and even try to explain what happend.. Then he deserve prison for the rest of his life.. One of the things you have to do, to get forgiveness, is to tell you are sorry, and show remorse for your actions.. In this case he have never shown any remorse for his actions under the war.. Why should then government just say "oh he is to old to stand trial, we have to let him go". He was a SS GUARD IN A DEATH CAMP. And it is doubtfull that he was not in the know what happend.. The survives who still is alive, have told stories about this old "gentleman" who is hairraising at best.. Or give you nightmares at worst.. He was a murderer, who had pleasure of doing it...

He he might as wel, wil never se the inside of a prison time, becouse he is to old and to fragile to be put in prison.. He might as wel end his life in the nursing home.. But, at least he is jugded, by the evidences, to be a criminal. Even tho he managed to evade justice for more than 60 year..

One of the prime evidences for forgivenness in Christinaity is remorse and prove of change of hart.. This "gentleman" have not showen any form of remorse and wel, we can forgive him becouse he is old. But he is still able to be prosecuted for his crimes.. Even after 60 year.. Becouse in german criminal code, its is no limits to procecute war crimes.. And this old, fragile missrable man, was indeed somewhat of a war criminal...
