Does Bush Hate America?
Today's commentary on www.Earthside.com:

EARTHSIDE COMMENTARY:
Below are several news reports and opinion articles about the torture and abuse of Iraqis at the hands of American and British troops. Earthside is aware that the reports now appearing in the press are only the worst ... a couple of months ago we attended a presentation from a recently returned from Iraq journalist who showed videos he had taken of U.S. raids on the homes of Iraqis suspected of possessing "illegal" weapons. Mild by comparison to the photographs coming out of the Abu Ghraib prison, we still saw demeaning and ridiculing treatment of the people the soldiers took into custody. Keep in mind that these folks were only suspects, yet there were ritually humiliated. We knew then that the Bush-ordered occupation was ultimately doomed to failure. Every Iraqi treated this way and finally released for lack of evidence is a new seed of resistance - extending roots of rebellion to their brothers, and sons, and nephews. The spin of the radical Republicans will be to minimize this atrocity, to try and confine it to just a few 'bad apples'. But the truth is that, as we just noted, humiliation of the local populous, to one degree or another, goes on. In the Arab and Muslim worlds, this again gives credence to the very accusations made by Usama bin Laden against the West. Bush and the radical Republicans in their ill-advised and deceitful attack, invasion, and occupation of Iraq, have furthered the cause of al Quaeda and the enemies of America. It should be more and more obvious as everyday goes by that we need to get these subversive haters of America out of the White House. Earthside uses strong words to describe Bush and his cronies ... but after reading today's links to the news, can you doubt that they are accurate?
