Santelli's Losers: Extreme Makeovers that got Ugly
There have now been at least three people featured on Extreme Makeover that ended up facing foreclosure, and possibly a fourth, including the deaf couple and a woman who ran a nonprofit out of her home.

2. these are people who were given a GIFT, and then
hocked that gift to try to get MORE for themselves. Tough to generate much pity.

3. That's why...
...I think the banks shouldn't give bad loans. Offer people free money without collateral, people are going to take it. It makes the most sense to make the banks give good loans to people who can repay them. Of course, they have no incentive if they get bailed out without losing their bonuses.
