We Need a Law Like Godwin for Nixon Comparisons
Republicans want to criticize Barack Obama, but it seems odd that they decide to compare him to Republicans, like Richard Nixon. I’m thinking the Godwin Rule will soon be replaced by the Milhous Rule, which marks stupid comparisons to Nixon. To that end, Republicans will not learn anything, and they will continue this stupidity.

1. I think there should be no Godwin's Law
If a comparison is accurate, it should be made.

If it's not accurate...well, then it's not.

4. Can we have a reverse Godwin for comparisons to Lincoln?
Edited on Fri Dec-05-08 01:59 PM by wtmusic
I love Obama, he is our hope.

But the comparisons to Abe Lincoln, right now, are a bit rich.

Lincoln does not qualify.

9. Nixon's blasé: the crooked Publican idiot for standard comparative purposes is now W,
and I really hope there's no lower benchmark for at least several generations
