Sarah Palin's family values

For years we've heard the Republican Party pat themselves on the back for what they call their "family values." Members of the Republican Party are the chosen ones because they, and only they, put God, country and family first.

It's a lot of bull, and I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the outright lie that those of us who don't support the war in Iraq don't support the troops. I'm sick of the accusation that those of us who support a woman's right to choose are nothing but murderers. I'm sick of the insinuation that only Republicans have the proper "family values" to raise proper families ...

But Republican presidential nominee John McCain, a man I voted for in a primary election eight years ago because he seemed a balance of the most extreme of Democratic and Republican ideals, doesn't want it to end.

His choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate proves it ...
