Sean Penn Praised by Venezuela's Chavez
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8QOTL700&show_article=1

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has praised Sean Penn for his critical stance against the war in Iraq, saying the two chatted by phone and soon plan to meet in person.

Chavez said Penn traveled to Venezuela this week wanting to learn more about the situation in the country and walked around some of Caracas' poor barrios on his own.

"Welcome to Venezuela, Mr. Penn. What drives him is consciousness, the search for new paths," Chavez said Wednesday in a televised speech. "He's one of the greatest opponents of the Iraq invasion."

Chavez read aloud from a recent open letter by Penn to President Bush in which the actor condemned the Iraq war and called for Bush to be impeached, saying the president along with Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are "villainously and criminally obscene people."

1. Chavez is truly a good friend to the American PEOPLE.
He is as pro-American people as they come. I really appreciate his solidarity - we need it.

4. Wingnuts will use this article as a relic over which to cackle and curse, fanning their flames
of hatred higher and higher.....

They hated Sean Penn before, and they will renew their hatred, reminding themselves that they've been onto him for a long time.

If these cretins took a day off and started researching Venezuelan history and what has been happening throughout Latin America and the Caribbean they would all start realizing they've been embarrassing themselves in front of people who know far more than they do about the subject for a very long time.

I don't expect even one of them to take time out from their circle jerk, so we will be seeing their hate fests for a long time. It wouldn't be so bad if they kept it to themselves, but they DO go to the trouble of sticking their long snouts in here and trying to roust people who know far more about this than they do, since we READ for our own information, and they read what slop they pass around among themselves at their hate sites.

Good for Sean Penn, and his determination to do the right thing, even sticking his neck out to encourage people to not back down and give up to the same people who have almost destroyed the world as we knew it. He willingly invites criticism, rage, foaming-at-the-mouth, incoherent hatred from the most violent, brutish among us in order to follow his conscience. Gotta admire that.
