LTTE: Democrats need to challenge Lugar in November
Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 03:12 AM by Robbien
Who are the Democrats running against Richard Lugar? Have they chosen to give Lugar a pass? If so who has made this decision and what are their names and contact information?

I have children who have been to war several times and I work in the failing Indiana automotive industry. If anyone has earned a right to vote against the incumbent who supports the Iraq War, NAFTA, CAFTA, even the war on Bosnia, it is I.

Democrats have an obligation to get out of the back room and put forth a candidate to run for Indiana senator. If they fail in that job, they should be removed from office and the Indiana people need to know who they are.

Michael Boetjer
Captain, U.S. Army (former)
Double Blue Star Father
Fort Wayne

1. Boetjer is not the only one who feels this way
I believe the only one who is mounting an even token challenge is Steve Osborn, who is running as a Libertarian.

2. I'm sure the filing date is passed.
Do you know of any Dem running for the nomination as write-in?

3. Indiana had their primary election on May 2
I don't know of any write-in candidates for the general election. I think if I were an Indiana voter I would write in Mortimer Snerd.

4. The Indiana Dem party is in the same bad shape
as the Illinois GOP party. Both states are being hurt because they are one party states.
