when one is talking to someone who calls themselves Republican. I know few who would, to my face, say that what this creature says is proper. (And those who say what she said about the Jersey girls was right, my counter argument is, "They wanted to make sure that safeguards were in place so that another tragedy like this wouldn't happen to YOUR loved ones-what is your problem with that?")

People are surprised when I say that I like Mrs Coulter, but what I mean is that I like writing about her, because she's so completely free of any moral constraint. There's nothing she wouldn't do, and that's a great delight for a storyteller, because it means your story can be unconstrained too.
