Censorship - Blurring lines between fact and fiction
An interesting series of articles published in Asimov's Science Fiction magazine concerning the state of freedom of written speech and the increasingly Orwellian world we are creating.

I wish I could post a link to the June issue as well as it continues the theme with an analysis of an objection raised by a Minn mother of a 13 year old girl who was "exposed" to Asimov's magazine.

1. very interesting, as it may be bush isn't really powerful...
apparently, in the modern world, 'perception' is reality....since the 50's society has been told the concepts of mass advertising/television would change things, and so beware, but.....so much of what we see simply defies common sense (how on earth can anyone believe the official version of 911, even w/out the evidence of official lying re wmd in iraq!)....watching/listening/reading the bushit news, for that is what it is, it's clear that the population is being 'informed' according to certain desired ends....and they no longer hide the fact! "politics' is at root the thing that kills entire societies, species; yet 'politics' is ignored by far too many of those who could change things anf hold the gov accountable...
to think: people once read science fiction for the inconcievably real!
