Kerry Scoffs at Bush's 'Tough' Talk on Terror
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=6587693§ion=news

RENO, Nev. (Reuters) - Democratic challenger John Kerry on Friday scoffed at President Bush's tough talk on terror and said if he had been in the White House he would have used U.S. troops to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.

"You want to talk about the war on terror, Mr President?" the Massachusetts senator asked at a campaign rally in Reno. "Let's talk about it."

Kerry said Bush had allowed bin Laden -- whose al Qaeda group was blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States -- to escape in Afghanistan by not using U.S. troops to hunt him down in the mountains of Tora Bora.

"Let's talk about what happened when we had the world's No. 1 terrorist, No. 1 criminal, cornered ... What did the president do? You know what he did?" Kerry said. "He outsourced the job of capturing him .... he gave it to Afghan warlords who only one week earlier were fighting against us.

1. Kerry Makes Bush Look Smaller Each Day!
Kerry appears presidential and tough. Bush looks weaker and more stupid each day.

4. Keep reminding people of the 7-minute "do nothing"
People who are "leaders" and tough on terror do not just sit while we are under attack. I have never understood why Republicans are not bothered by this!

5. I just hope Kerry/Dems have strategy in case they pull bin laden
out of a cave as the october surprise.

Something to deflate any increased support they're planning to get from that...

Focusing too much on bin laden may be setting up for failure.

Better to focus on the broader disasters of Bush: Afghanistan spiralling back into warfare, Iraq becoming hotbed of insurgency, etc.

But I like the overall line: Scoffing at Bush.
