LONDON (AFP) - Britain's Home Secretary David Blunkett flatly refused to discuss a claim in a top-selling Sunday newspaper that he is having an affair with a married mother.
According to Sunday's edition of the News of the World, Blunkett has been involved with the woman -- who it said is in her 40s and has one child -- for the past three years.
It did not name her, but it ran photos of her and Blunkett separately entering a house in London this past week. It also said it was "unclear" if the woman's husband was aware.
"They (Blunkett and the woman) are torn," an unidentified source was quoted as telling the tabloid. "There's a deep love, but neither of them know what the future will hold." .snip.
Blunkett -- who has been blind from birth -- is one of the most important members of Blair's cabinet, with frontline responsibility for law enforcement, immigration and combatting terrorism. .snip.
