Bungling Boaters Breach JFK
Edited on Tue Aug-12-03 05:57 PM by dArKeR
Authorities are investigating the case of three young boaters who wandered onto a runway at Kennedy International Airport after their raft washed ashore near the airport.

The boaters, a 21-year-old man and two 13-year-old boys, were on an inflatable fishing raft, but became lost after a rainstorm Sunday and floated into Jamaica Bay, authorities said.

"It got rough out there, and the waves started blowing the boat towards the airport," Joel Phaggoo, one of the lost trio, told WABC-TV.

They anchored off of an active runway and wandered on runways and taxiways before they walked to a police garage, where they told authorities they were lost.

In my opinion our country has gone INSANE!
1. I hate this title. Why does an editor chose this? Shit happens and it was a mistake and a accident. Way not, 'Hero Children Survive With a 21 Year Old At Sea'!

2. Just because we now Bush is honestly pscyhotic and insane is that an excuse for our media to be insane? Shit happens in America and no one is potting terrorism to up Bush's poll ratings because we all hate him and aren't going to vote for him. Not all of us realize that yet! LOL!

3. Once our YMCA canoe trip got blown by high winds and rough waters into an area we we're supposed to be in and the police didn't suspect us of being terrorists. We we're greeted with open arms and 'you're lucky we're here to help you.'

4. Once our kayak trip on the McCloud in N. CA went terribly bad. A girl almost drowned. We pulled up next to the (private Hearst Castle Estate). We just walked right onto the property and security surrounded us. As soon as they found out what happended they immediately came to our aid. (If anyone knows anything about Hearst? They prosecute everyone for tresspassing even if you make an innocent mistake stumbling onto their property. This is their most secrect/fortress in the middle of no-where. Church Hill went there. I think most of the plots to take-over the world were hatached from this castle. There's no access unless you happen to be a kayaker you can paddle down, class 2.5-3.5, to their door step. It's the one thing they never thought of when they built it in the 40s?, there wasn't any river kayaking back then.) rambling....

5. Lastly, we can see how incompetent Bush is at managing the White House and this 'Terrorims Crisis' with all our money!

Anyway shit happens, don't you hate what Bush has turned the world into?

1. And what are they going to do, exactly?
Stick out their thumbs and hail a Boeing 747 bound for Paris? This one's right up there with the "killer pantyhose" stories that local news likes to run during sweeps.

2. Don't go near the water! Swim at your own risk! No lifeguard on duty!
This story reminds me of a report of surfers in San Francisco a few months ago. They were ordered by armed troopers patrolling the Golden Gate Bridge, "to stay WAY CLEAR of the lower part of the bridge...otherwise, the troopers would shoot to kill!" (Shoot first ask questions later!) I kid you not!

:wtf:

God forbid if a surfer didn't know of this edict...or, accidentally drifted too close to the bridge! BTW, this same rule applies to boats, too.

Welcome to the New America of A$$kroft and Bu$h! :-(

3. I appreciate what you're saying but I think there was a different point...
I think the paper was trying to point out that DESPITE Bush's terror alerts and claims about airports being at risk, and despite the security measures that Bush has claimed he's put in place, a group of untrained, unprepared people managed to get into a supposedly secure area by accident.

IMHO.

4. Not only that ...
... but these people would've loved getting somebody's attention, so much, in fact, that they had to actually go to the "police shack" and get that attention. Security? For (arguably) one of the busiest US international airports? Uh-huh. "Just step through the scanner and stip, ma'am." :eyes:

6. I love CBS but they're not supposed to influence you with a title.

This was news not an editorial. These people weren't bumbling idiots which you get the impression. Bush is the incompetent bumbling liar and idiot so CBS should call him and Ridge that directly. You know as well as I do that our country would probably be dead if it weren't for CBS News. But I think I caught them on this one. And why should CBS News be 1000000% better than the other American Media Whores? Because they want to go to heaven!

I know what you mean. Even the Three Stooges could enter this ultra-high security area. I don't like CBS making fun of these kids, who could have died, at the expense of Bashing Bush.

PS. sorry about the terrible spelling in 1st post. No time to correct.
