ALP's bid to snare Oils frontman(Midnight Oil singer to re-enter politics?
FORMER rock star Peter Garrett has been approached by the Labor Party to stand in one of its safest federal seats as both he and the party consider whether they can work together.

Senior Labor figures confirmed that the former Midnight Oil frontman and environmental activist had been asked to run for the Sydney seat of Kingsford Smith which is being vacated by ALP heavyweight Laurie Brereton....
