Careful editing of the European Parliament production has left the brief breast-feeding scene in, but with the offending nipple left out – on the orders of the Cinema Advertising Association (CAA).

You'd think that a glimpse of a nipple (Jesus, men have them too, just not functional) being used for its real purpose, ie feeding, would actually be approved.

The people who banned it are actually the trade association, not a government body. The official body is the British Board of Film Classification; perhaps they'd have banned it too, but we don't know. They've said that they're becoming more willing to allow sex in films (there should be an interesting test case for this soon - there's a British film being shown at Cannes which has a lot of non-simulated sex in, as part of the story; the Board has said if a film is a proper story, rather than just an excuse for sex, like porn films, they'll allow it); they ought to allow breast feeding if they're not hypocritical.
