Mourners Say Musicians Among Dead at Iraqi Wedding
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/iraq_funerals_dc

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - An Iraqi wedding singer and his musician brother were among dozens killed by U.S. aircraft in an attack on a wedding party, Iraqis said as the two men were buried on Thursday.

The U.S. military says it attacked "a suspected foreign fighter safe house" near the Syrian border in the early hours of Wednesday, killing about 40 people, but denies killing civilians.

A cousin of Hussein al-Ali, a well-known singer from Baghdad, and of his musician brother Mohaned told Reuters they had been killed while sleeping after the wedding, at which they had performed.

"America is the enemy of God," mourners chanted as they carried the two men's coffins in their funeral procession in the capital. Some fired guns into the air and others hoisted the Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)-era Iraqi flag above their heads.

1. This goes to prove
That Republicans are against the arts. I thought they just hated to fund it but now they play by a different playbook.

3. I guess
that means we can bomb the entire American South and Southwest as well.

Practically every Southerner has weapons and the Southwest has a huge "cash economy" due to the underground payments for the illegal aliens.

6. With no banks, debit cards, credit cards, checks, money orders or
any other form of monetary system what do they expect. Of course they have cash or at least they had cash until it was blown out of their hands along with most of their upper torso's.

9. Don't they have 2nd Amendment rights in Iraq?
Are they not entitled to have money? WTF are they talking about. It doesn't matter what we say about it...it's what the Iraqis on the ground feel. And somehow I think we are going to pay big time for this terrorism.

5. Please don't jump to hasty conclusions
It's possible that the evil dogooders and their minions have fabricated an entire country of some 27 million people as a psyop. This wedding fiasco is just the kind of thing America's enemies want you to believe. Did you know the bride? Did you know the groom? Have you ever been to the village of Makr al-Deeb yourself? Ever even hear of it before yesterday? That's what I thought.

Our weapons are acccurate.

Our kills are just.

End of story.

7. eight year old children are "terrorists"?
http://msnbc.msn.com/ID/5013551/

Al-Arabiya showed pictures of several shrouded bodies lined up on a dirt road. Men were shown digging graves and lowering bodies, one of a child, into the pits while relatives wept.

“The U.S. planes dropped more than 100 bombs on us,” said an unidentified man who said he was from the village told Al-Arabiya. “They hit two homes where the wedding was being held, and then they leveled the whole village. No bullets were fired by us. Nothing was happening.”

<snip>

Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, deputy director of operations for the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq, told NBC News that coalition forces in the vicinity saw no signs of a wedding when they called in the air attack.

“I know the pictures are compelling, but they don’t mesh with what we saw on the ground,” he said.

<snip>

Dr. Salah al-Ani, who works at a hospital in Ramadi, put the death toll at 45. Al-Ani said that people at the wedding were firing weapons in the air and that U.S. troops came to investigate and then left. However, he said, helicopters returned and attacked the area about 3 a.m., destroying two houses.

8. 'And maniacs, don't blow holes, in bandsmen by remote control'
(from Pink Floyd's 'Final Cut')

And the lyrics ring true. Not by remote, but by Apache helicopter.
