Thousands in Tehran anti-US march
Thousands of Iranians have marched on the streets of Tehran to protest against US and UK policy in Iraq.

Demonstrators also hurled petrol bombs at the British embassy but no serious damage was reported.

The protesters held placards and chanted slogans denouncing coalition troops for fighting in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala, sacred to Shias.

The marchers were summoned by a call from Iran's Shia clergy - a frequent critic of the Iraq occupation.

1. Didn't Iraq & Iran fight a 8-year war back in the '80s?

4. Not quite so simple -- Germany provided the illegal chemical weapons...
France provided the nuclear know-how, and the US provided illegal ballistic missile materiel. Bush41/Baker also ran interference to ensure that "agricultural loans" from the Commerce Department were illegally diverted to finance Saddam's arms purchases (to the tune of $5 billion). The US also provided satellite reconnaissance for targeting and battle damage assessment. If we give credence to controversial figure Ari ben Menashe, the CIA did tacitly allow Carlos Cardoen to export "pesticides" by the ton to Iraq from his Paraguay plant.

There's plenty of embarrassment to go around the West if Saddam stands trial.
