Fresh revelations place Rumsfeld in jeopardy
· Blair apologises to Iraqis abused by British soldiers

Suzanne Goldenberg in Washington and David Leigh
Monday May 10, 2004

The photographs, which appear in the New Yorker magazine today, undermined White House efforts to limit damage by announcing the first prosecution of a soldier from Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad.
Misgivings about the Pentagon leadership came from unexpected quarters yesterday. A series of interviews with senior officers in the Washington Post painted a disturbing portrait of a military establishment harbouring grave doubts about the leadership.

The fresh images will also add piquancy to a House of Commons appearance today by Geoff Hoon, the British defence secretary, who will have to explain exactly when ministers were told of the Iraqi abuse allegations. The Red Cross and Amnesty International have said they passed on their concerns more than a year ago.

14. myers tribute to attack dogs (also this one )
SCHINDLER'S LIST

Ralph Fiennes plays a chilling Amon Goeth in the movie, and plays him to the point that some
people have had trouble distinguishing him from the real thing.

Poldek Pfefferberg, one of the Schindler Jews, famously said, "When you saw Göeth, you saw
death."

GENERAL MYERS TRIBUTE TO AMON GOETH

THIS IS GOING OVER REAL WELL IN EUROPE

to call them Nazis, due to my fifty relatives who died at
Treblynka)... but they are fascists, no doubt about it... will

2. He will feel no pressure.
He is incapable. he is too vain, too narcissistic, too surrounded by fundy sycophants and too stupid to notice.

He'll just say a prayer, utter the word "morality" and be on his merry, merry way.

3. "'I was just following orders' is no excuse"
...quoth the reichpundits and many a mediawhore, missing the point as usual. The point is not that whether those directly involved are trying to use this as an excuse. The point is, who was giving the orders?

From the article--

In addition to the New Yorker photographs, which document abuse by a separate military police unit, new evidence has emerged that the treatment of prisoners was dictated from above.

On Saturday, another soldier charged in the abuse scandal, Sabrina Harman, told the Washington Post by email that she had been directly ordered by army intelligence officers, CIA operatives and civilian contractors to break down prisoners for interrogation.

16. The people being court-martialed are going to squeal.
It was yet another mistake by the Chimp administration to court-martial the little people first. Those being court-martialed have no reason to protect the people who ordered this from above.

The Chimp should have offered the little guys plea bargains in return for "information," and this should have been done back in January. That would have been the smart way to head off this scandal.

Fortunately for the world, the Chimp administration is as stupid as it is evil. Their stupidity is allowing the world to view their evil in the light of day.

Let all the poison pour out into the sun.

5. More than ever
we need to keep the pressure on. The chimp is too stupid to realize the damage he is doing and continues to do. Meanwhile more and more support errodes as time passes.

At the rate he is screwing up, he may yet become vulnerable to impeachment.
I would have never believed this earlier.

17. Chimp's incompetence has never been
a stumbling block to his popularity. Sadly, the sheeple identify with him as an average folksy guy who makes mistakes. The sheeple have a major distrust of anyone smarter than them and thus Gore lost where clinton ruled by being folksy.

The sheeple don't want 189 point programs and 700 page reports - they desire simple lines that make them think George "Average Joe" Bush is like them and is doing his best to do right by them.

Will the Kerry campaign get Bill Clinton involved in some PR capacity to turn the sheeple around?

Counting on the chimp's stupidity and incompetence is a bankrupt policy to win this election -- those are the chimp's assets!
