Japanese whalers get $28m in earthquake cash
Source: Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Japan's whaling fleet has left its home port for another turbulent season in the Southern Ocean, this year courtesy of extra money from the nation's earthquake recovery fund.

Three vessels have set sail from the port of Shimonoseki, in western Japan, with a mission to catch 900 whales over the next three months.

This is outrageous! People donated money for the relief of victims, not the killing of whales for spurious reasons. It should be condemned worldwide at the highest levels.

1. This is the kind of bull shit that is all about
'in your face'.

Japanese whaling can't support itself - it's just a Japanese 'fuck you'.

4. I was thinking it was a stupid fucking idea,,,and you are comparing
killing 900 whales with an all out war for no discernible reason except the profit motive. Stick to the issue at hand; Government subsidized whale killing.

5. I was pointing out the fallacy of your "Anyone from Japan here ? WTF are you thinking ?" comment.
There are people from Japan here, but they have nothing to do with government subsidies.

14. So you are saying that citizens of Japan should not be able
to comment on their government's actions ? The only thing you "pointed out" was that you don't respect other people's ideas, or comments. Have a nice day at your next tea party meeting.

16. Look at the syntax of your post...
"Anyone from Japan here ? WTF are you thinking ?"

It is extremely belligerent.

Enjoy your next klan rally. (Is that the little game we're playing now?)

13. $28 million from the earthquake recovery fund is public money, not charitable donations
According to what Paul Watson posted on Facebook a week ago.

15. I support Greenpeace 100%.
Also FEMA and all kinds of other pro-respect and pro-Earth groups that routinely get disparaged on these boards.

C'est la vie.

Choose the side you want history to remember you for.

I choose the whales.
