BREAKING: Cain says he has been accused of having an affair
Source: CNN

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- A third woman will make false sexual accusations against Herman Cain, the GOP presidential candidate told CNN Monday.

Cain told CNN's "Situation Room" that the woman will allege that she has had an affair with him.

"This individual is going to accuse me of an affair for an extended period of time," Cain said. "It is someone that I know who is an acquaintance that I thought was a friend."

Cain said he learned about the accusation after his lawyer talked to a reporter about it.

interestin' readin', especially:

Late this afternoon, Cain’s attorney, Len Wood, sent FOX 5 the following statement:

"Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace – this is not an accusation of an assault - which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.

Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults - a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The public's right to know and the media's right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one's bedroom door.

Mr. Cain has alerted his wife to this new accusation and discussed it with her. He has no obligation to discuss these types of accusations publicly with the media and he will not do so even if his principled position is viewed unfavorably by members of the media."

53. What Cain and the lawyer forget
is that the woman has the right to reveal anything she wishes about the "consensual acts" without his permission.

I would pose the question to the scumbag attorney as well as Cain on why his affair is not fair game considering he claims he has been faithful to his wife. Claims to be a christian of faith. And why wouldn't his actions regarding affairs not have a bearing on running for President when he continues to lie about something that is supposedly considered a sacred institution?

Political Insider Herman Cain tells CNN to brace for ‘another accusation, that I had an affair’

“Here we go again,” Herman Cain just told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, in a preemptive strike aimed at a report from a local Atlanta TV station that the GOP presidential candidate had a 13-year affair with a “local” woman.

...snip...

Cain did not mention the woman’s name or offer any other details. He said he couldn’t rule out any further accusations:

Fox 5 Atlanta’s Dale Russell is currently promoting on his Facebook page a piece alleging that GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain had a 13-year affair with a woman. “Cain denies an affair, but not a relationship,” says Russell.

By DALE RUSSELL/FOX 5 I-Team

ATLANTA, Ga. - An Atlanta businesswoman is breaking her silence, claiming she has been involved in a 13-year-long affair with Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, FOX 5 senior I-Team reporter Dale Russell sat down with Ginger White, who had an amazing story to tell.

“It was pretty simple,” White said. “It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship.”

In an exclusive interview on FOX 5 News at 6, Russell will tell you why White is speaking out now, and show you the records that she says back up her story. He also talks to Herman Cain, who denies the affair. Cain’s attorney, Lin Wood, released the following statement to just moments ago:

39. I feel sorry for Mrs. Cain.
She must have known all along that this day was coming; maybe that's why she tried so hard to stay out of the media glare. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the wife isn't always the last to know and she must have had some idea of his alleged infidelity during a 13-year affair. She knew a shitstorm was heading their way if he ran, but her arrogant husband thought that he was 10 feet tall and bullet proof.

soured on him, thankfully. I always thought Cain would be dangerous in a general election. Especially this coming year with the economy not recoving fast enough to stave off hard criticism of Obama's handling of it so to me this is welcome news. Now the Teaheads have jumped on the Newt bandwagon talking about how much they will love the debates between Obama and Newt and how Newt is the one that speaks like Raygun and can communicate and articulate conservative viewpoints and how those same viewpoints can fix all this mess.... Whatever... LOL...

55. It's amazing he even thought he could run for POTUS knowing all this would eventually come out...
It's really mind boggling. I don't think he ever thought he would rise to the top of the shit pile of republican candidates.

I wonder what his wife will say now? HERMAN WHAT! YOU HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE WOMAN,BUT IT WASN'T AN AFFAIR!!! YEAH AND BILL CLINTON DIDN'T HAVE SEX WITH MONICA EITHER!

What a sack of shit he is.

72. Clinton had an affair too, and he made it
This is all looking too damn convenient though, and it's making me worried.

The moment Cain makes top of the polls suddenly women come out of the woodwork. He's been the public eye for years, ran for public office before, and only NOW does this come out.

He shoots straight back to the top if this is a setup and he proves them liars.

The Rather/Memogate faked memos definitely helped Bush.

the documents from Bush's "military" service were real. And you might be on the wrong board.

104. Oh, come on
They were clearly made using Microsoft Word in default setting, not by a 70's era typewriter that would be used by the National Guard.

I know my typography, I know my old typewriters. I also know the military is always behind the technology on basic secretary office equipment, and the National Guard gets the hand-me-downs from that.

There is no way in hell a simple secretary had a high-end proportional typesetting machine. Back then this technology was what book publishers and such would put down tens of thousands of dollars for. The Selectric Composer could do proportional, but not to this level of fineness, and such a secretary would be lucky to get a Selectric II, no way a Selectric Composer costing several thousand 1970s dollars.

Besides, all other memos found from the place around that time were on what was expected: regular fixed-width font typewriters.

"And you might be on the wrong board."

I'm supposed to go somewhere that reality doesn't touch, where people live in fantasy? Or should I stay on a board that deals in the real world?

It was quite obvious Bush did everything he could to get out of the war, and not even do the easy service he got himself into.

We didn't need a very poorly forged smoking gun to show it. It probably cost the election.

66. Two Words- Brokered Convention
The Ruthug nominee will be either Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, David Patraeus, John Thune, or Bob McDonnell (as for VP it could be anyone of them or Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Jon Kyl, Rob Portman, Newt, or Romney.

My gut sickeningly says Jeb with McDonnell or Portman as VP, next most likely would be Christie w/ Ryan or Thune, the wild card would be Patraeus with Rubio as VP (that would be a huge gamble as Patraeus is the ultimate war monger candidate and Rubio is sooo corrupt, but that ticket also has the largest upside except for possibly a Bush/Patraeus pairing.

It is wide open, and I am just throwing shite against the wall.

The key to why it will be brokered is the new rule in GOP primaries where winner doesn't take all in many states, so no candidate will have enough votes by the convention:

How does CNN know they are false? What an "odd" way to report a story. I could get a more professional assessment of the claim over the back fence with a gossipy neighbor. What the hell kind of "journalism" is this?

CNN just arbitrarily decides the claims are false and flatly states so?

:wtf:

That stuck in my craw as well. Reading on, it's clear that this is Cain's claim but CNN has no business leading with that line without making it clear that that is Cain's assertion and not theirs.
