Four Corners' transportation soon to be limited
Source: KOB-TV

People in the Four Corners will have fewer choices when it comes to transportation. Greyhound said it will stop service to multiple cities in the area.

Other cities (besides Farmington) they will no longer service include Durango, Cortez, Telluride and Montrose, Colorado.

1. The Feds subsidize some small airline routes so that there will be service available
They do not do that for buses. With the cost of fuel etc, if routes are uneconomic, they will not be served. Having been to Four Corners recently, I can see why it is uneconomic.

3. That's going to be tough on Durango, especially
and on all the Navajos who ride the dog in for medical treatment in Farmington.

Trailways also services part of this area, maybe they'll pick up at least part of it.

Hitchhikers are going to become a greater road hazard for local traffic, though.
