WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The head of the CIA (news - web sites) never informed a vacationing President Bush (news - web sites) in August 2001 that a suspected Islamic extremist had been detected taking flight lessons, the panel investigating the Sept. 11 jetliner attacks on New Yorkand Washington heard on Wednesday.

11. Obviously it wasn't on the agenda

and the bush WH was so structured you only talked about what "they" deemed important enough/what was on the agenda. Isn't the way Tenet talks strange (in the present tense instead of past tense), "He's in Texas and I'm either here or on leave for some of that time," he said. "In this time period, I'm not talking to him, no."
