http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20040410/ts_nm/iraq_arabiya_hostages_dc&cid=564&ncid=1480

<snip>"We are calling for the withdrawal of American and coalition forces. We have Japanese, Bulgarian, Israeli, American, Spanish and Korean hostages. Their numbers are 30," a masked man holding a Kalashnikov rifle said.

"If America doesn't lift its blockade of Falluja their heads will be cut off," he said. The footage did not show any of the alleged hostages.

1. Looks like the entire ME is deteriorating fast - So many protests
yesterday spread around the area and now this.

The speaker of the group of eight masked men said they were called the "Brigades of the Hero Martyr Sheikh Ahmed Yassin," in reference to the founder of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, whom Israel assassinated last month.

I'm going way out on a limb here, but is the reason Shrub is still so cocky and arrogant that we are about to enter another WW? There will be no election?

Can someone talk me out of this conspiracy state of mind, Please!

:scared:

3. Oh Sh*t!!Thanks. I wonder if this group is different than the ones that
threatened to burn the 3 Japanese hostages alive. Read that in the Cheney trip thread.
How many groups of hostage takers are there?

8. there is a serious media blackout re: the hostages
They are muddling information.

On live CNN press conference from Iraq this morning they were as vague as possible.

4. Times like this I really wish Chimpy did not put Saddam's dead sons on TV
I just have a bad feeling that desecrating those bodies for several days in the international media did not play well in the Muslim world.

5. Good point .... I Fear that Easter Sunday will be the Day
That we will all see how determined the Iraqis are to get the coalition out of their homeland.

God be with the families of those hostages.

before acknowledging and acting on stopping the impact of this tremendous calamity?

Things look ugly now. Lives at stake and things are bound to get worse.
And good ol' D. Cheney is on his way to China to sell nuclear reactors to the government there.
(Read here for the Cheney-Westinghouse nuclear reactor connection:)

:wtf: is going on?!?!?!
There is no precedent for what is going on in Iraq. This is not Vietnam redux déjà-vu. This is a view through the oculus of the global community future.

9. I'm afraid they won't even stop then.
Nothing can shake their resolve, remember?

If they are influenced by exections, then the terrorists have won! Just like they did in Spain!
