UK's Straw Says Iraq Situation 'Most Serious' Faced

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said on Friday the situation in Iraq (news - web sites) is the most serious yet faced by U.S.-led forces that toppled Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) a year ago.


"The lid of the pressure cooker has come off," he told BBC Radio as turmoil reigned in Iraq on the first anniversary of Saddam's fall.
