Tea Party Vow to Deter Voter Fraud Is Called Scare Tactic
Source: NY Times

WASHINGTON — In 2006, conservative activists repeatedly claimed that the problem of people casting fraudulent votes was so widespread that it was corrupting the political process and possibly costing their candidates victories.

The accusations turned out to be largely false, but they led to a heated debate, with voting rights groups claiming that the accusations were crippling voter registration drives and squelching turnout.

That debate is flaring up anew.

Tea Party members have started challenging voter registration applications and have announced plans to question any individual voters at the polls whom they suspect of being ineligible.

6. Can they do this?
Tea Party members have started challenging voter registration applications and have announced plans to question any individual voters at the polls whom they suspect of being ineligible.

Do they have access to voter registration applications?

As for the plan to "question any individual voters...," let's see how far they get with that one...:grr:

8. Point the finger at others so people will be looking elsewhere while the republicans are stealing
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 03:33 PM by GreenTea
elections all around the country -

This is a favorite Karl Rove tactic....using smokescreens - screaming at others, making loud accusations to the media, while pointing the finger at others for exactly what you plan to do....rove is a sick diabolical master at this kind of stealing votes bullshit!

"squelching turnout" low turn-out, everyone knows low turn-out favors the republicans it's what the republican are constantly try to achieve, whether it's stealing votes by purging Dem voters from the voting rolls, harnessing voters, what ever it takes to steal election.

Because AFTER the election has been stolen....it's too late - It is NEVER reversed....Rove knows this well all fair with this slimy republican pig....the more diabolical the better to Rove!!.

The republicans will be manipulating votes in the extremely easily hackable electronic voting machines & scanners - (usually flipped early in the morning in close races when most have gone to bed and we wake up to a "dramatic improbable against all odds come from behind victory by a republican candidate).

Always where there is a republican Secretary of State where the stealing and flipping of votes occurred....This will be wide spread this year as the republicans have only gotten better at stealing & hacking the machines as well as distorting and pointing the finger at the democrats...The republicans are going all out with anonymous money stealing elections purging Dem voters anything to take back congress and Karl Rove is a master at the lies and deception as well as finger pointing and keeping scrutiny away from the obvious stealing of votes & elections.
