CNN reports U.S. deaths in Iraq at 601
Edited on Wed Mar-31-04 07:23 PM by robertpaulsen
Considering that at least 48 died this month, it seems like things are getting worse. Saddam's capture didn't change a thing and I doubt the June 30 "turnover" will stop the bloodshed either.

Unless the White House throws more than just crumbs at the U.N., we may be close to 1,000 deaths come election day. Try making a joke about that, Dumbya!

1. I recall that the "Saddam's capture halved attacks"
was actually due to Ramadan ending; anyhow, the attacks became fewer in number, but deadlier

2. I expect that the rate will go up after that bit of "untidiness"
today. The bar has definitely been raised!

King George said "bring it on" and his humble servants are heeding the call.

3. *gulp*
www.lunaville.org listed 599 last I checked. I was "relieved" (it's hard to be relieved when so many have died) that my prediction of 600 before April 1st was wrong. God, maybe I was right.

4. Isn't the word "casualty" normally used for both dead and wounded?
If so, aren't we starting to approach 4,000?

5. Good point.
I edited my post. Actually, there's another thread that shows that the casualties may be over 18,000. I'm sure some in that number may be illnesses contracted in Iraq, but after the Gulf War Syndrome, who knows how many casualties can be linked directly to BFEE insanity.
