Jobs bill could cost $75 billion to $150 billion: Hoyer
Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Job-creating legislation being crafted in the U.S. Congress could cost between $75 billion and $150 billion depending on what the components are, House of Representatives Democratic Leader Steny Hoyer said on Tuesday.

"100 billion, 150 billion, 75 billion -- those are all figures that are being talked about, depending on what the component parts are," Hoyer said at a news conference.

"And I don't think anybody feels that this package will be the only package in terms of jobs that we'll look at over the next two to three months," he said.

Hoyer's remarks came as President Barack Obama laid out proposals, from small-business tax breaks to increased spending on highway construction, aimed at bringing down the nation's 10 percent unemployment rate. Democrats hope to pass a bill through the House this year, but that could slip to January, Hoyer said.

1. So what? The IraqAttaq currently costs us around $20 billion a month. . .
so Hoyer's talking about -- at most -- only 4 to 8 IraqAttaq Months worth of money. Pissant cash.
