BBC -- Shares worldwide see sharp drop
Shares worldwide see sharp drop

Traders are in a nervous mood
Shares around the world have fallen sharply, amid concern over the strength of global economic recovery and after a series of deadly bomb attacks in Spain.

On Wall Street, the Dow Jones share index opened 0.4% lower, after heavy falls on Wednesday. European markets had tumbled, closing at their lowest levels in weeks.

In Spain, the Ibex index lost 2.4% in response to the terrorist attacks.

The falls were initially triggered on Wednesday, when figures showed the US trade deficit at an all-time high.

The FTSE 100 index closed down 2%, the Cac 40 by 3% while in Frankfurt, the Dax lost 3% by the end of trading.

2. And the US
will prop itself up at other regions' expense for the elections- and for domination beyond. It is only careful in that regard because of blowback but pain can be distributed outward to certain ones Bush dislikes most. Notice that few Americans really care if the American markets are inching up. But business people are very painfully aware of the dangers.
