Black Members of Congress to Aid Kerry
WASHINGTON - Black members of Congress expect to confer regularly with Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) and help him plan campaign strategy and involve minorities in his effort to unseat President Bush (news - web sites), an official of the Congressional Black Caucus (news - web sites) said Thursday.

Kerry met privately for 45 minutes with caucus members as he spent the day on Capitol Hill shoring up his support among congressional Democrats. Following meetings with other members of the House and his colleagues in the Senate, the presumptive nominee to challenge Bush in November was to meet with former rival John Edwards (news - web sites).

Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, D-Md., the first vice chairman of the caucus, said after the meeting with Kerry that caucus members were encouraged "this will be an ongoing relationship. ... It is clear we are all about the business of building America."

Kerry posed for photos with black leaders but ignored questions from reporters regarding Republican criticism of his comments Wednesday describing GOP critics as "the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen." A GOP official has called on Kerry to apologize for a statement "unbecoming of a candidate for the presidency."

1. Has Bush Ever Met With The Black Caucus?

To my knowledge. GW has n e v e r met with the Black Caucus.
That is an insult of the highest order.

Kerry appears to be sincere and I love it! Of course, it is the right thing to do.

However, our "selected nonleader" does not have an ounce of compassion and he avoids my people accept for his Babysitter Condi and the Unknowing Photo Ops.

MLK: "We Will Get To The Promise Land"

Sen. Kerry, keep showing the American people that we need to be UNITED in the United States of America.

3. I am sick of this racist pack of thugs
They try to ignore everybody that doesn't fit their white neocon script, including Blacks.

The Black people of America are a powerful group of constituents, and, no, I've never known GWB to meet with any of them - if anything he ignores their existence! This is just one reason I have personally been glad to see Al Sharpton hang-in there in this race. The attention is greatly needed.

I hope that the Blacks in America come out in the masses to vote in election 2004. They could provide the swing votes that just might needed because another theft of the election occurs!

Every person makes a difference!

Go Kerry! :D

Congress confirms Bush electoral victory

Saturday's formalization of the vote came only after members of the Black Caucus and several House colleagues objected and walked out in protest.

Damm, where was the 1 senator needed?

6. Yes for CBC
The Caucus is one smart group of politicians. Their strong voices have been on the side of uniting this country.

Bush is afraid to meet with them because he knows that he can't handle them. They would have him running to his Momma for his pacifier.

I am so proud of my Brothers and Sisters because they are true heroes.
