Iowa workers claim Powerball prize ("The Local 310 Ten")

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- A group of workers at a Des Moines tire-manufacturing plant has claimed a $1 million Powerball prize won with a ticket purchased at a convenience store.

The group of 10, who work at a Firestone plant, are calling themselves "The Local 310 Ten" because they're members of Local 310 of the United Steelworkers Union. They came forward Monday to claim the prize.

According to Dan Kelley of Urbandale, the group pooled their money to buy Powerball tickets together for about five years.
