Palin finishes memoir, 'Going Rogue,' out Nov. 17
Source: Associated Press

NEW YORK — That was fast.

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, has finished her memoir just four months after the book deal was announced, and the release date has been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, her publisher said.

"Governor Palin has been unbelievably conscientious and hands-on at every stage, investing herself deeply and passionately in this project," said Jonathan Burnham, publisher of Harper. "It's her words, her life, and it's all there in full and fascinating detail."

Palin's book, her first, will be 400 pages, said Burnham, who called the fall "the best possible time for a major book of this kind."

The book now has a title, one fitting for a public figure known for the unexpected — "Going Rogue: An American Life."

75. Yep,
Sarah Palin + 4 months from deal to release = 1 page introduction and 399 pages of pictures.

Took her a couple of days to update her 'model portfolio' then the rest of the time was spent with the ghost writers trying to make sense of the gibberish she spewed out.

It'll probably inspire a whole new arena of conservative literature. I can see her acolytes scribing memoirs and opinion pieces in a vain pursuit of the coveted 'Palin Pulitzer' where coherence is a chimera and pictures are germaine.

33. Rogue: 1) "a dishonest or unprincipled person". . .
2) "a person whose behavior one disapproves of but who is nonetheless likable or attractive (often used as a playful term of reproof)"

3) "an elephant or other large wild animal driven away or living apart from the herd and having savage or destructive tendencies"

4) "a person or thing that behaves in an aberrant, faulty, or unpredictable way"

5) "an inferior or defective specimen among many satisfactory ones, esp. a seedling or plant deviating from the standard variety."

Synonyms:

1 a rogue without ethics scoundrel, villain, miscreant, reprobate, rascal, good-for-nothing, ne'er-do-well, wretch; informal rat, dog, louse, crook; dated cad; archaic blackguard, picaroon, knave.

2 your boy's a little rogue rascal, imp, devil, monkey; informal scamp, scalawag, monster, horror, terror, hellion.

Yep. That's the type of person every non-thinking fool wants for President.

instead of Piper's crayons, she quit on that and hired ghost writers.

She had to use ghost writers--there's no way it could have been published without someome else writing it for her. Her use of English is abominable.

It comes from orders from booksellers, not from sales. It's common to frontload something onto the best seller list in the hope that the attention it attracts there will generate sales. Expect to see it skyrocket, and it means nothing.

57. The inane antics of
a political Lady GaGa. A better title for the book might be "Going Broke: The Real Reason For This Book". I find it hilarious that they need to hammer home the point that this ghostwritten fantasy account of Gov. Jingo's borderline political dilettantism is "...hands-on at every stage,...It's her words, her life, and it's all there in full and fascinating detail."
..."the best possible time for a major book of this kind." (You betcha!)

73. As only the Mudflats can put it,
http://www.themudflats.net/2009/09/28/the-real-story-behind-the-rogue-in-sarah-palins-new-book/

Is Regnery Press now part of Harper-Collins?

I guess some people will find it interesting?

I just might read it for the humor. Four hundred pages just to say nothing.

81. I bet it's a popup book isn't it?
Completely with a mavericky coloring section and it ends not because it's over but because it gotten too hard to finish. What with punctuation being a liberal scare tactic.
