ANKARA, Turkey - Kurdish rebels detonated a remote-controlled land mine as a Turkish military vehicle passed by Monday, killing at least two soldiers and wounding four others, officials said.

The attack occurred during a patrol in the town of Gercus in southeastern Batman province, near the Syrian border, Gov. Efkan Ala told the Anatolia news agency.
