Bush Close to Imposing Sanctions on Syria - Sources
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - The Bush administration plans to impose sanctions on Syria within weeks for its support of terrorist groups and for failing to stop guerrillas entering Iraq, congressional officials and other sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.

Though the White House insists no final decisions have been made, senior administration officials on Friday informed Florida Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the House International Relations Committee, that an announcement was ``imminent,'' said her spokesman, Alex Cruz.

Several sources said the administration was leaning toward imposing economic rather than diplomatic sanctions under legislation signed into law by Bush in December.

Washington accuses Syria of sponsoring terrorism, occupying Lebanon and failing to secure its border with Iraq while allowing anti-American fighters to cross into the country.

7. I think Iran is higher on the list BUT
Iran has a bigger military and I think the Neocons understand we do not have the military to put 200,000 troops into Iran.

6. Too bad they didn't prevent our terrorists (the Bush cabal) from
entering IRAQ. I SUFFER so thinking of all those precious children with their life just started who were killed by our WMD. I suffer for all the soldiers who have died and been maimed. I suffer for all those Iraqis and American servicemen who are going to have cancer, aborted fetuses, etc. from the uranium-depleted bombs that we will not clean up. Why did we stand by and let the Repug rabble still Gore's election? We cannot allow it again. This time we must flood Florida or Ohio or etc. to protect our earth.

responsibility to seal the borders of Iraq? Oh, I forgot. This is just a pretext to invade Syria. Scuse me for the lapse.

Hitler's justifications for invading that "threat" Poland fucking PALE in comparison with the junta's excuses for hegemony.

It's the U.S. and Israel against the world now apparently. Somehow I don't see PoodleBoyBlair joining in the next escapade.
