Bomb Squad Dog Registers Hit On Truck

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- A pickup truck outside Portsmouth High School, where President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak Tuesday, was towed away for security reasons.

Officials said a Secret Service bomb dog had a hit on the truck, but they did not say whether there was a specific threat detected. Secret Service members entered the unlocked vehicle after the dog circled it several times.

The truck had masonry equipment in it. It was parked off Andrew Jarvis Drive near the site where demonstrators were rallying. It was parked in the furthest lane away from the rally, closer to media satellite trucks.

For example, hubby works in tv production. He was working an event with the Dalai Lama when the secret service dog alerted on their audio gear. It was a huge scene, but finally everyone realized that the "gunpowder" was residue from the fireworks at a college pep rally they had covered the day before.

I just hope the SS picks up the guys tow bill if it turns out to be nothing.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- A Hampton, N.H., man was charged with trespassing after attempting to get into Portsmouth High School before President Barack Obama spoke at a health care town hall Tuesday, police said.

Police said he was also in possession of a folding pocketknife. Police said he could face more serious federal charges.

Young's pickup truck was also seized as evidence after it was swept by Secret Service agents. Police said they couldn't comment on whether anything was found inside the truck.
