Lawmakers appear to have votes to override Palin
(Published June 05, 2009)

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska lawmakers say they have enough votes to override Gov. Sarah Palin's veto rejecting nearly $29 million in federal stimulus funds for energy efficiency programs.

But legislators say they don't know if that will make a difference in getting the money to Alaska.

2. Oh no, building codes!!
Why would they want codes that protect people's safety and promote energy efficiency?!?

Seriously, these people are crazy. I hope it does require energy efficiency in building codes. While I fully agree that we must expand energy production, we also must make smart choices about how to utilize that energy.

3. Are the people of Alaska paying attention?
Their governor wants to slow any recovery for the economy of Alaska out of purely partisan political ideology.
Never before have state politicians worked to destroy their own economies growth for the sake of following their leader Limpballs command to make sure America and Obama fails. Un-fucking-believable.
