Gingrich joins (San Francisco) Examiner commentary team
Source: San Francisco Examiner

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich debuts in tomorrow’s edition of The Examiner as a weekly political commentator, writing a broadly focused column on national and international politics, personalities and issues.

“Mention Newt Gingrich and people instantly think of the Contract with America in 1994 that propelled the Republican Party to gain majorities in the House and Senate for the first time in 40 years,” said Ryan McKibben, president of Clarity Media, which publishes the Examiner.

“That history alone makes him one of the crucial figures of modern American politics, but he’s also one of a rare breed - the genuinely original and creative thinkers about politics and public policy,” McKibben said.

... “I am excited and pleased to be joining The Examiner, which is among the bright new stars of American journalism,” Gingrich said. “This is one of the most unique and crucial eras in our nation’s history and to know what’s going on, you have to be reading this newspaper.”

2. They can't give that rag away.
Every morning when I get on BART (the subway) they have people there handing it out for free. They don't get many takers from what I can see. Not too many people in this city own birds.

He will probably be against ALL marriage. Marriage has been sort of a problem for him.
