Court to Franken: Wait until February on election suit
Source: Star Tribune

The Minnesota Supreme Court said Wednesday it would consider Democrat Al Franken's request for an election certificate that could propel him to the Senate before a legal challenge by his opponent runs its course.

The court said it would hear arguments on Franken's petition Feb. 5. The court order also granted Republican Norm Coleman's request to intervene in the case, which names Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Secretary of State Mark Ritchie as defendants.

1. So Cheney won't have to swear in Franken
DAMN!

This does mean that he will be the lowest ranking Senator...unless Colorado hasn't decided on theirs yet.

to confirm and WITHOUT question after a transparent recount that if there is no hope for the losing candidate to win jackshit (like ol' Bad Teeth here) that he must concede within 24 hours after the final transparent recount is complete or pay the recent recount from his own damn pockets.

6. I guess the legal question for the senaate is
Do they need 59 or 60 votes to close discussion on a filibuster in this circumstance?

10. The question is moot. With DiFi, Schumer and the other 4 or 5 DINO's always voting
with the republicans, we can't come close to busting a filibuster.

7. Didn't the Repukes swear in a House member whose election still hadn't
been settled? They had an effective tie, and the result was still in the air, but that didn't stop the "strict Constitutionalist" party?

8. Aw, fer cryin' out loud...
:grr::banghead:

Still, once all the legal chants and dances are done, there ain't NO way Coleman can contest it...
hoops all jumped through, every base gone back and touched, "t"s dotted, "i"s crossed...

You get the picture...and Al Franken gets the title of "Senator Franken". :fistbump:

I mean this is a liberal Democrat and God knows they don't want to give an appearance of impropriety.
