PACKAGE DEAL: They, too, represent the State of Alaska.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is allowed to charge taxpayers for her children's commercial airline tickets because they represent the state wherever they go with her, the governor's aides said Wednesday.

1. Forgetting the rule of holes, again and again.
First rule of holes - they are not responsible governors.

24. Lance_Boyle, not calling you out
but would like you to explain your post.

Possibly I'm missing your intent, because it appears you're criticizing Palin for being a hole, and the only way that remotely makes sense to me is if you intend it to be sexist.

Maybe I'm being a clot, or maybe it doesn't read as you intended, but it looks bad.

8. Hopefully they were wearing their "Alaska" sashes, so that people knew
they were "representing" Alaska.

On a side note, the damage palan is inflicing on women and working mothers is much larger than her clothes tab.

25. You could drop the 'Welfare' from her title - Queen Sarah and her Royal Family are the embodiment
of the state now. Hey, Alaska, go for secession and you could go back to having a Tsarina!

20. Not only is that insane, but it sets a terrible precedent for women in politics.
What we REALLY need is for people to start considering who to vote for by how much more tax payer money will be spent if a woman who has children is elected.

What an idiotic claim to make. If she wants her children with her, she should pay out of her own pocket. Otherwise, she should leave them at home under the care of a nanny, or *WHAT A THOUGHT* her husband.

23. Typical Rethug Thinking
Sarah Palin is, and always has been, in Rethug politics for what it can give her. A ribbon cutting job, nice base salary, and every perk, financial and otherwise, she can get before someone tells her to stop. Bush/Cheney in a Nieman Marcus dress.

30. "not invited to the events but she brought them anyway and charged the gov't"
snip: not invited to the events the governor attended, but she brought them anyway and charged the government.

How nice to bring uninvited kids to events on the taxpayers' dollar. But she's a reformer and hockey mom so I guess it's OK.
