Go SanAngeloELDORADO - Rod Parker, spokesman for parents of the children removed from the YFZ Ranch, said a car with two state Child Protective Service workers showed up today at the ranch and the workers said they had heard children were at the ranch.
Officials of the ranch, which serves as home for members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, asked whether the CPS workers had a search warrant, Parker told reporters outside the gate.
The CPS officials left, he said, but ranch officials think there is a good chance the CPS officials will return.
"As far as I know, there are no children," Parker said, "but I haven't searched" the ranch.
Most people on the ranch are visiting their children or are in San Angelo, where Day 3 of 60-day custody hearings involving more than 450 sect children are under way, he said.
