Bush led meetings like "blind man," says former aide
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush led cabinet meetings "like a blind man in a room full of deaf people," former Treasury secretary Paul O'Neill said in portions of a television interview.

Maybe this is the wrong place for this story. If so, I am sorry.

6. Smirkboy didn't ask any questions during...
the interview with Paul O'Neill?
Not surprising really.....he is
not a man of curiosity, incapable
of deep or complex thinking.

Nice to hear the truth instead of
all the lies and cover ups of this
nincompoop of a pResident's stupid
antics. I'll bet the Queen of England
and her family have a few inside
jokes about Shrubs stupidity as a
house guest.

7. Bush has no leadership ability whatsoever.
I was amazed that the repugs nominated this boob. He will do nothing but hurt the repugs in the long run.

9. The more I read it, the more I don't understand this quote.
It's really odd. What does it mean a "blind man in a room full of deaf people?" I don't get it.

14. The room full of deaf people would all be
speaking with sign language. Bush was blind. See? :-) In other words, he had no idea what was going on.

15. Intended as an absurd image...
...that tars both Bush (for being out of his league, since he can't "see" what's going on around him) and his staff (for not giving a damn what junior had to say while they effectively wen their own way). That's how I read it.

13. Well ...
Did he resign or was he fired (the article makes both statements)? Or did he leave to "spend more time with his family"? Whatever, it's refreshing to hear someone actually speak what he really thinks about this misAdminstration.

... Dubya's extraordinary decision-making capability and powers of judgment in stressful situations.

Like the time he nearly crashed that Cessna in Midland, with O'Neill as a passenger!

(He'd lied to O'Neill about being qualified to fly that plane.)

20. O'Neil's book is on the shelves now.
I bought a copy at Bookstop (subsidiary of Barnes &
Noble). The author is actually Ron Suskind and the title is
The Price of Loyalty. I have read only a few pages and am
hooked.

21. Not a word of this in the
Pravda press. Did anyone else see it? Imagine if this was a few years ago and a former WH secretary said this stuff about Clinton.

22. What a hoot!
I guess ONeil will be thoroughly roasted and villified by the GOP. Wonder if he still votes Repug? I can see the WH response..."you see he was disloyal so we had to let him go"..see this is what we mean, what he put in his book"......LOL

23. Locking... LBN Thread Consolidation
In order to consolidate the threads, and to keep LBN neat and tidy, let's keep our discussion about the important Paul O'Neill revelations consolidated into one thread, this one:

Former Secretary Paul O'neil - Iraq Invasion Planned Long Before 911

The above thread is not necessarily the original LBN thread on this topic, but it has received the most replies. Let's keep the discussion going!

Thanks,
