Kuwait says stocks up on food in case of war in Gulf
Source: Reuters

KUWAIT, May 9 (Reuters) - Iran's neighbour Kuwait said on Wednesday it had prepared emergency food stocks in case a war breaks out in the Gulf amid tension between Washington and Tehran over Tehran's nuclear programme.

Kuwait, which was a launch pad for the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, said last month it would take "precautionary measures" amid concern of prospects of war between Iran and the West.

State news agency KUNA quoted Trade and Industry Minister Falah al-Hajeri as saying Kuwait had secured necessary food stocks to supply the population in case of a war.

"The ministry has prepared a strategic stock of food to be used in case of a war in the Gulf region as a result of the Iranian nuclear file," he said after the government briefed parliament about its preparations.

3. There is no way in hell
(and you can quote me on this,) that we will expand or start another war! We are trying to get out of Iraq for christ sake. Flippen 72% of the country says to get the F out.

Personally, (and don't quote me,) but if we were to start a war in the Gulf I truly believe it to be the end of life as we know it.

A scholar I am not, but there is just no way............................

7. If we attack Iran and, in turn, Iran nukes Israel, it won't be the end of life was we know it.
Many, many above-ground nuke tests were done, even in our own country, and life went on.

Kuwait is posing in a baffling way. Are they trying to send some message to Iran?

8. It would set off a second Great Depression
When oil prices skyrocket to $200/barrel following a nuclear exchange in the Middle East, the economies of the US, Europe and Asia will be devastated.
