Wilkes was a frequent contributor to Doolittle's congressional campaign fund, and the lawmaker helped steer $37 million in Defense Department work to Wilkes' company, ADCS, between 2002 and 2005 as a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
A spokesman for Doolittle, R-Granite Bay, confirmed this week that his boss played a role in securing the contracts for ADCS.
