Not only CC but we just passed new legislation removing the persons who carry from public records. You see we have the right to privately carry guns to protect our families.

Needless to say, I drive VERY NICELY and I give any PICKUP TRUCK the RIGHT of WAY. <--just kidding. I drive nice all the time...;-)

28. Totally agree with you AnneD. Those who think they're being funny
or who aspire to become comedians could at least hold their "jokes" until we find out what's going on. Nothing funny about this situation already -- when SWAT teams are on the scene, I doubt there will be many people in the area appreciating "humor" whether it's lame as hell or brilliant.

I hope no one gets hurt in this latest incident, but already we can be assured a great many people, including children, are shaken up and thrown into a terrible state of mind....

Most gun-free zones have nothing to enforce them.

It would be weird if NASA didn't have even more security about who can get in with what.

I would bet that the building has security badges and man traps at the entrances, but no metal detectors or body screening devices.

Ok, so live coverage is great...but do they HAVE to show the exact postioning of the SWAT members surrounding the building, including what doors that they are going in and out of?? Seems like they should be doing a "this is a tape delay so we don't reveal to the gunman where the SWAT members are".

From the live feed: Gunman works for a NASA subcontrator company based in Pasadena, Ca.

A building at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston was evacuated Friday amid reports that an armed person was barricaded there, the space agency said. Other employees at the center were told to remain in lockdown as authorities surrounded the scene.

NASA security personnel as well as Houston police responded to "a report about a person with a weapon" at Building 44 on the space center's campus, agency spokeswoman Lynette Madison told MSNBC.com. There were indications that a NASA contract worker was holed up inside the building.

Where exactly does this idiocy stop?

If hockey players were armed there would be a lot less high sticking.

If death row inmates were allowed to carry, the death penalty would be rarely applied. Hey wait, perhaps I should join the NRA.

Gunman barricaded inside NASA building

HOUSTON - A man with a handgun barricaded himself on the second floor
of an office building Friday at NASA's Johnson Space Center, police said.
Capt. Dwayne Ready said authorities did not know the gunman's motive, but
described him as a man between 50 and 60 years old. Ready said two shot
were fired, but he did not know whether anyone had been wounded.

SWAT officers had surrounded Building 44, which houses communications and
a laboratory. Roads within the 1,600-acre campus were blocked off. A nearby
middle school also kept its teachers and students inside as classes ended.

47. This isn't a random
mass shooting like VT -- my family member who is there said they were told it's an employee who was laid off. He told everyone in the building to leave except 1 person, I'm assuming his boss, but they don't know if he ever found the 1 person he was looking for or if they all just left & he's alone. I'm thinking he may be intending to commit suicide. Bush economics -- everyone losing their jobs & minds.

First VTech, now this, added to all the other weird killings and catastrophes around the 3rd week of April: Waco, Oklahoma City, Jonestown...

Seems this is the time of year to send the 'code-words' to the CIA mind-controlled assassins. Tin foil hat, yes, but we know the CIA did conduct experiments in mind control. And when something like that comes out, it doesn't end, it just gets buried deeper so it can be perfected. Kurt Nimmo has some good points on this at his blog. Here's his recent post on the matter:

Strange Virginia Tech “Coincidences”
Thursday April 19th 2007

“In the magical universe there are no coincidences and there are no accidents. Nothing happens unless someone wills it to happen.” –William S. Burroughs

As “News Commentary” on the Truthseeker website notes, Virginia Tech is an “active partner” with DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. In addition, the CIA actively recruits VT students, holding events the spook agency bills as “career information” sessions.

“News Commentary” claims “Blacksburg, VA houses a US government ABOVE TOP SECRET underground laboratory (in the side of a local Blacksburg mountain) that develops in conjunction with DARPA, weapons such as human robotic mind control programming.” A Google search, however, turns up no mention of mind control experiments, of course, but there is plenty of reference to the “Deep Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory… 7,000 feet under Butt Mountain” in Blacksburg.

Part of the AMADEUS Project (Advanced MAnipulation for DEep Underwater Sampling), funded by the European Commission (i.e., the executive body of the one-world European Union), the Deep Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory, according to The Pit Bulletin (the newsletter of the Department of Mining and Minerals Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University), is designed for “military needs, ranging from unique designs for underground sporting arenas to storing various types of waste materials…. the AMADEUS team feel that the expanding world population is creating a demand for additional types of underground construction.” As well, an “expanding world population” may call for the development of “perfect weapons” long sought by DARPA and the Pentagon, including avian influenza H5N1, an area of research at VT, according to Virginia Tech News (a Google reference points to a page that currently produces an SQL error). “If I were reincarnated, I would wish to be returned to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels,” Prince Phillip.

Finally, a resume posted on the VT Computer Science Department website by Robert G. Ball notes grants awarded to the university by ARDA/DTO, short for Advanced Research and Development Activity, Disruptive Technology Office. “ARDA was created in 1998 after the model of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) by the Director of Central Intelligence and the Department of Defense, and took responsibility for funding some of DARPA’s projects,” explains Wikipedia. “There has been speculation that the DTO is continuing research efforts started under the Total Information Awareness program (TIA) in DARPA’s Information Awareness Office (IAO)…. Although ARDA’s budget is presumably classified as part of the intelligence budget, the New York Times quoted an unnamed former government official saying the agency spent about $100 million a year in 2003. The Associated Press reports that ARDA had a staff of only eight in 2004.” Early last year, I reported that DTO was to be run by John Negroponte (see my TIA “Disruptive Technology” Subverting Bill of Rights).

Of course, all of this secret and not so secret activity on the Virginia Tech campus and environs is not definitive evidence Cho Seung-Hui was a government produced mind-control assassin. However, it does indicate VT serves as a hub for experimental and prototype DoD technologies.

It is no secret the Pentagon has had a keen interest in electromagnetic weapons for some time. “Electronic mind-control research is not new,” CNN reported in 1985. “A scientific milestone in this area came in the 1960s when Dr. Jose Delgado demonstrated remote control over a charging bull.” Military affairs specialist Chuck DeCaro told CNN: a “scientist, who did not want his identity revealed … employed by the U.S. Government … has done secret RF weapons research. He believes that tests done with the Lida and similar machines prove that humans are susceptible to remote alterations of mood and awareness…. Certain kinds of weak electromagnetic signals work exactly like drugs, and so the promise is that anything you can do with drugs you could do with the right electromagnetic signal.” Dr. Robert Becker, a pioneer in the field of bioeffects of electromagnetism, added: “As far as I’m concerned, the potential that this has for producing a direct psychoactive effect upon the total American population is there, has never been disproven.”

The late professor Dr. Gerhard Beyer of Virginia Polytechnic Institute at Virginia Tech broke a significant part of the “magnetic code,” and no doubt this was of interest to DARPA and the Pentagon.

64. These are some strange times...

The US government has been experimenting with mind control for a very long time. There is plenty of evidence, websites and public records documenting this as FACT.

We the people will need to rub the crusty bits from our eyes sometimes and begin to look real hard inside ourselves and ask the really big question, Is this the way the founding fathers meant for our country to be ruled?

There are only a handful of people in Washington that are true Americans and not a part of the Corporate Oligarchy that has been setup.

We must start there first. Then we will be able to move forward and bring back our freedoms.

Till that time, turn off the TV, read everything you can, think critically, and remain ever vigilant.

May whatever you believe in protect your spirit and keep it safe...

68. Funny....
Standard response. I am used to it.

Re-read what I said. I did not say that this was the case in the VT instance. I just stated FACT.

You need think critically and apply where needed. If you think that ANY government is above using mind control techniques, I suggest you read more, Russia is very well-versed in the techniques of mind control.

Kind Regards,

NASA shooting suspect got bad job review

HOUSTON - The shooter in an apparent murder-suicide at Johnson Space
Center had received a poor job review and feared being fired, police said
Saturday.

William Phillips, 60, smuggled a snub-nosed revolver into the space center
Friday and barricaded himself in a building that houses communications and
tracking systems for the space shuttle, officials said.

Phillips, a contract worker, confronted a superior, David Beverly, 62, in
Beverly's office about his performance review, police said. After talking
with Beverly for several minutes, Phillips shot him twice and left. He
returned and shot Beverly two more times, police said.

Your ability to sum it all up is remarkable.

Very scientific anaylysis, well laid out and full of facts and citations. Oh wait, not quite your style...

While I can understand what it is you are trying to say, I am not so sure that ANY of it even plays a remote part in this event.

The guy was in his 60's. Think. Think. No ritalin. Not the product of the recent broad brush approach to teaching. Probably never wore a bike helmet as a kid and same goes for seat belts.

Unless of course you are a product of the current school systems, then it may be hard for you to actually THINK CRITICALLY.

Kindest Regards,

Tinfoil hats are optional...;-)
