Roadside bomb strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO


BAGHDAD — Two MND-B Soldiers died and one other was wounded when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device north of Baghdad April 18. The unit was returning from a combat patrol in the area when the attack occurred.

Iraqi security forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon, helping set the conditions for a stable, secure and self-reliant Iraq.

Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — An MND-B Soldier died when a combat security patrol was attacked with small arms fire in a southwestern section of Baghdad April 18.

Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers and their Iraqi security forces counterparts continue to set the conditions for a stable and self –reliant Iraq, conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

Elements of this unit continue to conduct combined clearing operations in this area of the Iraqi capital, finding numerous weapons caches, recovering improvised explosive device-making materials, AK-47s, grenades, rifles and rocket-propelled grenades.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
