I watched it live on local TV.

1. I have many problems with Senator Hagel above and beyond his
being a Republican; but I wish our candidates had made the same decision.

Our candidates (with the possible exception of Gore if he does end up running) have started too early.

All energies at this time should be devoted to confronting the Bush Crime Family, not frittered away on vanity photo ops, staged events and petty disputes between DEMOCRATIC rivals.

hyping the BIG announcementHagel was ging to make on Monday about his future plans, and the big announcement is that he hasn't decideed anything!

3. Did you watch the whole thing on WOWT? I did, and
he's smart to wait--once you launch this early, the ship inevitably starts to take on water. What surprised me was how confident and at ease he was, and also that he had a sense of humor (very dry).
He's going to wait and see how things shape up, and whether 'Pugs will start to accept him and break his way. He's never lost a campaign, and I don't think he wants to start now. But I think he's definitely running for now, even though he won't admit it.
