No apology over Iraq invasion - PM

Tony Blair has refused to apologise for his handling of the Iraq invasion - despite admitting that the country was in a "very grim" state.

The Prime Minister dismissed criticism from a former senior official that he had failed to plan adequately for the "vacuum" following Saddam Hussein's overthrow.

Deliberate interference from internal and external extremists was the "principal reason" for the entrenched problems, he said.

1. Blair, neocon lapdog
Deliberate interference from internal and external extremists was the "principal reason" for the entrenched problems, he said.

Right, Tony, it had nothing to do with invading and occupying a country on false evidence, or any of the other innumerable crimes you and the Bush** cabal have been carrying out against the Iraqis for four years. Who could have possibly foreseen an insurgency, or that your deplorable tactics would incite terrorism?

Just anyone sane and responsible.

2. History will not be kind to Blair
He'll be lumped in with Bush and Bush will be considered one of the worst presidents in American history.
