Iran's Ahmadinejad Threatens To 'Humiliate' West
I think we're already doing a pretty good job humiliating ourselves.

Iran's Ahmadinejad Threatens To 'Humiliate' West

January 2, 2007 4:46 p.m. EST
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent

Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) -
United Nations Security Council sanctions on Iran's nuclear program are meaningless, and the Islamic Republic will again humiliate the Western powers, declared Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday.

"Let the world know that from the Iranian nation's point of view, this resolution has no validity," the AP quoted Ahmadinejad as saying in reference to last month's unanimous Security Council decision to bar the transfer of all materials and technology to Iran that could assist its nuclear program. The assets of 10 Iranian companies and 12 individuals associated with the nuclear program were also frozen.

Ahmadinejad warned the international community against using Iran's defiance as justification for harsher measures, reminding Western powers of their previous failure to defeat the Islamic Republic by supporting Saddam Hussein's Iraq during its eight-year war against Iran in the 1980s.

"If all the powers that supported Saddam in his war against Iran were to regroup and confront Iran again, Iranians would deliver a historic slap in their face," Ahmadinejad stated. He has a special message for the United States, the primary proponent of international efforts to halt Iran's nuclear program. "I want you (America) to know that the Iranian nation has humiliated you many times, and it will humiliate you in future," the Iranian leader said. "You are nobody."

1. My thoughts exactly. We're doin' just fine on our own, thanks
however, Mr. Ahmadinejad, him of the Holocaust Deniers Conference, is something of an expert. If I were looking for advice in this regard, I'd turn to him.

5. How does he propose to do that, I wonder? Call us names? He does not control the Armed Forces of
Iran at all, not even nominally. Thus, there's no way he can deliver any slaps, historic or otherwise, because his say-so won't make it happen. For him to go on like that is a bit delusional. He's starting to believe his own propaganda, just like our nitwit did, do his ultimate dismay.

The Guardian Council and the Supreme Leader don't trust that crazed midget a bit...quite honestly, he's vying with our own monkey for the biggest idiot of the month title.

14. much blather for internal consumption
as you say, he has no real power. So I imagine this is really lots of hot air to prop up his presidency. Having spent most of my life in contact with Farsi speakers, one always has to discount a lot of over-the-top rhetoric. It is simply the nature of the language, no matter who is using it.

10. turn up the propaganda
Put any of those statements into a search engine, and this story (purportedly from Israel) is the only one that suggests anything like that was said. so just who is trying to get Americans angry, and why?
