Oil prices climb nearly $2 a barrel ... after Bush speech because he knows the Dems are taking over
The second part was my humble opinion. But if you know your team isn't going to win, why hold the price low?

------------------------------------

NEW YORK - Crude oil prices rose above $61 a barrel Wednesday after a new report showed U.S. inventories dropped last week, OPEC members began taking steps to implement production cuts and Nigerian villagers attacked oil facilities.

Though global supplies are still relatively ample and some skepticism remains about OPEC's willingness to go through with the 1.2 million barrel-a-day reduction it announced late last week, Wednesday's news drove traders to bet on tightening supplies going into the North American winter, when demand for heating oil and natural gas ramps up.

3. I noticed that
Gas prices dropped like a rock for about a month then they stopped falling. I thought it was because the oil companies know they're backing a loser and figure they might as well get what they can before the Dems come in and straighten their crooked asses out.

Oil prices climb more than $2 a barrel

By MADLEN READ, AP Business Writer 28 minutes ago

NEW YORK - Crude oil prices rose more than $2 a barrel Wednesday after a report showed U.S. inventories dropped last week,
OPEC members began taking steps to cut production and Nigerian villagers attacked oil facilities.

Though global supplies are still relatively ample and some skepticism remains about OPEC's willingness to go through with the 1.2 million barrel-a-day reduction it announced late last week, Wednesday's news drove traders to bet on tightening supplies going into the winter, when fuel demand ramps up.

Natural gas prices also climbed on the possibility of a colder than normal winter, surging 8.5 percent.

13. Only if gasoline prices rise too.
I don't think that most people pay much attention to oil prices, only what they're paying at the pump on any given week.

14. Always seems like gas prices rise as fast as oil
and drop much slower. But then again who knows now with all the manipulation going on...

17. My gas went DOWN 4 cents a gallon today ($2.20)
I heard oil went up last week also. Not that I am complaining, but why is it still going down around here? They desperately need Republicans votes? That is what the majority at work said today.

why it jumped $.17 in six hours time.

It's worth it if the gop go down, though.
